Experimental Chamber Music: Performance and Workshop at Vanderbilt University

I will be giving a performance and workshop at Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music, for the Myra Jackson Blair Scholars.

As a part of my ongoing “Experimental Chamber Music” series of workshops, I’ll be examining modes of musical expression that arose in the mid-late 20th century. This workshop will center on the idea of Limits, and will include exercises in interpreting graphical scores, spectral notation, and improvised music.

As a part of the workshop, I’ll be performing Salvatore Sciarrino’s Ai limiti della notte (1979) to kick-start our investigation.
